I'M BAAAACK!

SANTA BABY

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a HAPPY HAPPY New Year. ...It was Trinity's first Christmas and a memorable one at that! Her presents were piled high and she loved each and every one of them...especially the wrapping paper! Christmas Eve we ALWAYS go to my mom's house. We eat dinner, open presents, get a visit from Santa, laugh, and really just have a good time! Christmas Day we went toJosh's mom's for breakfast and presents and to Josh's dad's house for the rest of the day (we always play games at his house). Because I got sick the day before Christmas I didn't take any pictures. Thank God my grandpa is the photographer at EVERY family event! Didn't that picture turn out good!?

Night out at Southlands

Family Picture - - The picture turned out good! Trinity was distracted and couldn't stop looking at Uncle Billy. SHE LOOOOOOVES UNCLE BILLY!

Last night after Josh (Daddy) and Uncle Billy attempted to take us ladies out for another surprise date we all ended up back at our house just laying around and playing with Trinity (like usual). I still can not put a caption with the above picture...I just can't quite figure out what that face is telling me... any suggestions?

Trinity in Santa's Sleigh!
It was so cold outside. Trinity had on leggings, jeans, socks, moccasin boots, t-shirt, 2 sweatshirts, 2 hats, and 5 blankets!
.....and still smiling! I know I know....if she had to wear that many layers we probably shouldn't have been outside.....but .....it not only was an experience but such a memory!

Its the most WONDERFUL time of the year....

So to make a long story short I was being quite the Grinch when it came to bringing ALL of our decorations up from the basement and decorating this year. Don't get me wrong I was planning on decorating it was just taking some time to get me to do it. So, last night, Josh and Billy were trying to surprise Nicole and I by taking us to the Denver Zoo Lights but the second he told me to dress Triniy and myself warm I KNEW EXACTLY what we were doing! YUP I RUINED THE SURPRISE!!! But I am so glad I did...Trinity and I were dancing around the house ALL DAY...singing Christmas carols and that is when I decided to pull everything out!! The house looks so festive. Trinity loves it all! Her favorite thing to do with all of ornaments is to PULL it off the tree and just hold each ornament in front of her face so she can see herself....she thinks its funny! But because she enjoys this so much our tree doesn't look very even...I put a lot of the balls at the bottom so she can play with them...just use your imagination...the picture just looks funny!

This is also the first that I have put candy out that I really like...usually I buy the stuff that everyone else likes and I hate so I won't eat it. Ya, I should have stuck with that plan. I have already filled santas sleigh (candy bowl) a couple of times!! OH WELL!!

Our Christmas celebrations will actually begin on Friday so I may not have any new posts for the next couple weeks! If that is the case MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Little Miss Personality

Trinity never fails to make us laugh! The Lord has given her such a gift...the gift to light up a room no matter where she is at! She is growing up so much!

She is our little angel but yet she sometimes acts like such a big girl! She amazes us! I am so excited for her FIRST CHRISTMAS!!

My NEW favorite time of year!

Now that we have our own little family I have come to the realization that I love this time of year. I love how beautiful Colorado really is. I love watching kids run to the corner of our street as fast as they can just to learn that no, they did not miss the bus. I love going to bed at night wondering if we will wake up to snow. I love being able to stay home with Trinity and being able to snuggle up with her all day long. I love dressing up for the cold weather. I love drinking my hot chocolate.

I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!

What are our family traditions going to be? What are yours? What will yours be? The holidays are right around the corner and I can not wait to start our new family traditions with Trinity. I believe that a few special traditions create life long memories!

HALLOWEEN

Sugar Plum Fairy
Some people say that I have way too much fun!! I like to say that WE have fun together!! Like I mentioned in my previous post Trinity was originally going to be a monkey but for the first time
in years it was nearly 70 degrees on Halloween. So we decided that it would be a good idea to get Trinity a costume that 1.) she would feel like a princess in 2.) she wouldn't sweat like a pig in

After her first party in this costume I realized that we made a good choice. Her costume was a hit and as you can tell she loved it just as much as everyone else!! She was all smiles the WHOLE NIGHT!!

Hmmm...what will we dress her up as next year??

Our little Picasso!

The week before Halloween Trinity and I decided that we would join a Mommy and Me class. The day we signed up Trinity and her new friends decided that they would go to the costume party the next day. Trinity learned quickly that her monkey costume was way too hot for her to play, paint, dance, attempt to crawl and take pictures in.

Getting ready to paint her very first picture.

Trinity's first piece of art!

Trinity really was getting into it!
